A 15-inch flat panel monitor from Hewlett Packard, the F50 is a high-quality TFT LCD monitor with plenty of features and a reasonable price tag. A maximum non-interlaced resolution of 1024 x 768 combines with a 0.297 mm dot pitch to provide clear, detailed pictures and crisp, sharp text. How to Do an LCD Monitor Calibration

If you are a publisher of video or photo, or if you like watching movies and playing games on your LCD screen, one thing you must learn to do is calibrate the LCD monitor. Calibration ensures that your monitor displays images in the right hue, color saturation, sharpness and brightness. TV calibration is similar to LCD calibration. In addition to having the best possible image quality, calibrating your monitor you also have to avoid eyestrain due to poor image quality. Calibrate an LCD monitor is not so hard. All you have to do is follow a few simple steps.

Check your manual for LCD monitor. The first thing you have to do to adjust the monitor is to check your manual of the LCD monitor. In doing so, you know how you can access the settings for monitor calibration. Once you're already familiar with the various monitor settings, you can start the calibration.

LCD screen tests. You can search the Internet for testing LCD Monitor free. These types of tests are specifically designed for LCDs and may have more complex parameters and properties relative to test CRT monitor. In conducting a test, you will see the extent of calibration that you need to do on your monitor. You can find these tests on the lagom.nl site.

Adjust your monitor. The next thing to do is adjust your monitor. Make sure you choose the highest resolution before starting calibration. Another thing to check is if your monitor is 24-bit mode. If not, you can return the manual and see how you can change the monitor settings to 24 bits. Then let the monitor warm up by leaving it for twenty to thirty minutes. This will give the colors on the monitor adjust.Calibrating fully. When the monitor has warmed up, the next thing you have to do is turn off the lights. This is important so there is no glare on the screen and you can see the colors as they are not when the light hits the monitor. For this you need a photo of a person of color printed on photo paper. This will be your guide to calibration. You must also have this photo on your computer. Open the photo on the computer and put the photo you printed next to the monitor. Now, adjust the display calibration until the color of the photo on the computer matches that on the printed photo.

These are the steps on how you can make an LCD monitor calibration. It is easy enough to do a calibration test. Remember that you need to calibrate your monitor at least once a month so that you can be sure you have the best image quality when editing videos, photos, play games or watch movies on your monitor LCD.
